In the lively central avenue of Trieste, a new aroma spreads through the air, inviting passersby to discover a corner of authentic Karst tradition. Panpacor, a renowned bakery with deep roots in the Karst region, has opened its first city store, bringing with it not only the unmistakable flavor of its products but also the very essence of its territory of origin.
This project represents much more than a simple store: it’s a window onto the Karst in the beating heart of Trieste. The interior design, conceived specifically for Panpacor, skillfully blends the artisanal heritage of bread-making with a contemporary aesthetic, creating a space that is both familiar and innovative.
Entering the premises, customers are greeted by a large counter that extends majestically, offering an inviting overview of fragrant breads, sweet temptations, and bar specialties. This central element is not only functional but has been designed to be the stage where tradition meets service, allowing for direct and warm interaction between staff and customers.
The materials chosen for the furnishings tell the story of the territory. The Karst stone, with its gray tones and unique texture, is present in the central table, anchoring the space to its geographical origins. Wood, an essential element of tradition, adds warmth and authenticity, present in the details of the furnishings and work surfaces. These natural materials create a welcoming environment that evokes the simplicity and genuineness of the Karst countryside.
A distinctive element of the project is the open kitchen and laboratory, which transforms the act of bread-making into a fascinating spectacle for customers. Through large windows, visitors can observe the art of baking in action, creating a tangible connection between the final product and the artisanal process that creates it. This transparency not only adds an element of entertainment but also underlines Panpacor’s commitment to quality and authenticity.
Lighting plays a crucial role in defining the atmosphere of the premises. Pendant lamps with a modern design but inspired by traditional bakery forms create interesting focal points and diffuse a warm and enveloping light. The lighting has been designed to enhance the texture of the materials and highlight the displayed products, creating an inviting environment at any time of day.
The result is a space that goes beyond the concept of a simple bakery or bar. Panpacor becomes a meeting place, where the community can gather to enjoy high-quality products in an environment that celebrates the rich tradition of the Karst. It’s a project that speaks of roots and innovation, of respect for tradition and a look towards the future.
In this new store, Panpacor offers not just bread and pastries, but a complete experience that engages all the senses. It’s a tribute to the land of the Karst, an invitation to slow down and savor, and a demonstration of how tradition can be reinterpreted to create something unique and contemporary in the heart of the city.
